
Annabel Obenewaa Coffie is a Senior Associate at CREST LAW with a distinguished international career spanning Rwanda, Ghana, and the United Kingdom. Called to the Rwandan Bar Association in January 2020, she combines deep expertise in corporate governance and regulatory compliance with hands-on advocacy experience across multiple jurisdictions.
She holds two master's degrees with distinction: an LLM in Regulation & Compliance in Finance (Banking and Insurance) from Queen Mary University of London, and an MSc in Corporate Governance and Strategic Leadership from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development, Rwanda.
Her international experience includes serving as Legal Analyst at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, advising on regulatory frameworks for Technical Cooperation projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, and as Regulatory Compliance Analyst at Zeepay JV UK. She previously served as In-house Legal Counsel for a Kigali-based tech startup and as Associate Lawyer and Head of Company Secretarial Services at MacCarthy and Associates, Accra.
